Baghdad / NINA / President of Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani discussed with members of the Kurdistan Alliance the electoral law.
The vice president of the Kurdistan Alliance bloc, a member of the Legal Committee, Muhsin al-Sadoun said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that, “Barzani met, in a late hour last night, with members of the Kurdistan Alliance and discussed with them the position of the Kurdistan Alliance of this law.”
He added: “What the conferees reached will be raised and discussed during the meeting of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, which will be held today,” without indicating the nature of the position approved by the meeting.
MPs of the Kurdistan Alliance bloc in the House of Representatives had left Baghdad yesterday to Arbil, at the call of the President of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, to hold a consultative meeting on amendments to the election law. End
