Standard Chartered Bank to open three branches in Iraq

24/09/2013 19:21:00

Erbil (NINA) – The British Standard Chartered Bank intends to open three branches in Iraq.

In a statement to NINA on Tuesday, Sep. 24, the Bank's Regional Manager, Rami Lawand, said that the promising Iraqi market attracts many of our customers to go work and invest in Iraq, prompts the Bank to seriously think of being in Iraq and open branches in Baghdad and a number of Iraqi provinces.

He added that SCB has approached the Central Bank of Iraq with its plans and has agreed to open branches in Baghdad, Erbil and Basra. / End
