Kuwait receives compensation of $ 1.07 billion .. Of the United Nations Special compensation Iraqi occupation

Received Kuwait to United Nations Special Commission compensation Iraqi occupation in 1990, a new batch amounted to $ 1.07 billion, and thus the Kuwait received since the liberation (in 1991) so far on the $ 42.3 billion in compensation for damages caused by the Iraqi occupation installations oil and financial losses arising therefrom. According to newspaper reports mention that the total compensation allocated to Kuwait by the United Nations of $ 52.4 billion, and thus the remainder owed by Iraq of Kuwait 10.1 billion dollars are received in the form of quarterly payments under the supervision of the Compensation Committee at the United Nations.
