Commission announced the election on Saturday, as today is "deadline" to submit lists of candidates of political entities to participate in the parliamentary elections Kurdistan Region, has denied the existence of "any further extension of time," pointing out that the extension overtime "will affect the schedule of the elections," asserting that its offices in the region "attendance will continue until late this day" to allow all entities to submit their lists.
A spokesman for the Electoral Commission Safaa al-Moussawi, said in a statement received (Presse term) a copy of it, that "The Commission decided that the deadline to submit lists of candidates of political entities to participate in the parliamentary elections Kurdistan region of Iraq is today (20 July 2013)."
Moussawi stressed that "there is no extension," and attributed the cause to that "had already been extended date of submission of lists of candidates previously," noting that "any further extension will affect the schedule of parliamentary elections in the region."
Moussawi pointed out that "the UNHCR offices in the region and the Office of the Commission will continue the day-time until the late hours," he continued, "in order to receive the lists of candidates and the final opportunity for all entities to submit their lists."
The presidency of the Kurdistan region of Iraq demanded, yesterday Thursday, conduct counting during the election process inside the polling stations and according to the law of the regional parliament elections, saying the Electoral Commission's decision to hold the process of counting and sorting centers particularly inappropriate.
And announced the Electoral Commission for elections, in the 16 of May 2013, the ratification of a number of measures for the election of the presidency and the Parliament of the Kurdistan region, in preparation for the elections in September next, and that the Electoral Commission identified on the 5 of June 2013 as the date for the opening of centers updated voters in the province of Kurdistan.
The Electoral Commission announced on the 20th of May, 2013, identifying the 23 of the month of May as the date for the adoption of the political parties participating in the presidential election and the Kurdistan Regional Parliament scheduled for the 21 of next September.
The Commission announced, on the first of May, 2013, to approve the request of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections and the presidency in the province (21 September 2013), which indicated that the voter registration update operations will begin in mid-June.
He welcomed the Commission on April 18 last, the decision of the Presidency of the Kurdistan region to conduct the presidential and parliamentary elections on 20 September next, while confirming it is ready to conduct on schedule.
The Electoral Commission for elections announced, in the 11 of April 2013, it has received in the eighth month this April a formal request from the President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani about the elections presidency of the province and the Parliament no later than the eighth month of next September, saying it would study the subject and would put a timetable for holding elections in the Kurdistan region.

The Kurdistan elections scheduled on 20 September 2013, is the second in the province since 2003, as seen in the Kurdistan of July 25, 2009, the first presidential election won by current President Massoud Barzani.
And end the current parliamentary session of the Parliament of Kurdistan in early September 2013, and according to the rules of procedure of the elections should be held before the end of the parliamentary session.
