Economic Affairs Committee took several decisions on economic development

Baghdad (IBA).The Economic Affairs Committee has taken a number of decisions at its 9th meeting on Thursday chaired by Deputy Prime Minister روژ Nouri shawis.
He said a press statement from the Office of Interim Committee approved a number of orders and increase college costs for projects in each of the provinces of Najaf, Karbala and Diwaniya in order to deliver projects on time and to benefit the people.
He said it also decided to recommend to the Cabinet to increase the powers of Heads of ministries to formations authorized power of review and endorsement contracts not exceeding 20 million dollars and to enable them to exercise the economic activity and the implementation of a higher proportion of the State budget and the provision of services to citizens through the adoption of projects and economic, with the recommendation to develop systems and internal control systems in those profiles for the exercise of the supervisory work transparently in accordance with domestic and international standards.
In order to support and develop private industry Economic Commission decided to host the President and members of the Iraqi Federation of industries to discuss the proposals made by the Union to support and develop the Iraqi industries and development that ensures economic progress.
It also recommended to the Council of Ministers to approve the amendment to the General Treasury share of corporate profits in General (45%) (25%) To support, develop and promote public ytlam companies with the economic financial situation of the company.
The statement noted that in order to put an end to the import of poor productivity plants that have a negative impact on the Iraqi economy because of poor production and their impact on the environment and to import high-tech production plants to supplement the industry decides to form a Committee from the Ministry of Commerce and the customs authority and the General Investment Authority for regulating, parameters for importing plants productivity.
The Committee also decided that the Ministry of finance to study the reform of the insurance sector with global systems on the subject and submitted periodic reports to the Commission in this regard.
The Committee recommended to the Council of Ministers to amend article 15 of the General Companies Act No. 22 of 1997 to allow the participation of the private sector with public sector in the implementation of work related to the General objectives of the company in Iraq, to contribute to the private sector in building and reconstruction of the country reflecting the State to the rise of the private sector.(End)
