Iraq and Kuwait agree on the demarcation of the border and build a residential complex in Umm Qasr

BAGHDAD / Press-term

Announced that the Iraqi Foreign Ministry has signed two memoranda of understanding with Kuwait concerning the arrangements for the physical maintenance of the common border and the financing of the construction of a residential complex in Umm Qasr, indicating that the Kuwaiti side expressed its readiness to help Iraq out of the provisions of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
The ministry said in a statement issued on Tuesday and received a (long-Presse) a copy of it, that "the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received today, at Seif Palace, Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari and his accompanying delegation," noting that "the Prince He commended the efforts made by the Government of Iraq in the process of ending the third phase of the maintenance of border pillars between the two countries in implementation of Security Council resolution (833) for the year 1993. "
The ministry, in a statement, that "the Prince expressed the readiness of the State of Kuwait to help Iraq out of the provisions of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations," indicating that "the meeting saw discuss bilateral relations developed between the two brotherly countries."
And reported the ministry in a statement, that "the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak met in the hall princely of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, and the members of the delegation of the Republic of Iraq accompanying him, praising the efforts made by the delegations of the two countries in order to strengthen the brotherly relations between the two at all levels" , pointing out that "the meeting saw the research agreements to be signed during Mubarak's visit to Baghdad."
The statement also, that "Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari met during his visit to Kuwait's Prime Minister and former Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah," asserting that "the visit culminated in the signing and Foreign Minister with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah memoranda of understanding relating to the first arrangements for the maintenance of appointment physical limits, and the second on the financing of the construction of a residential complex in Umm Qasr. "
