Baghdad/Al baghdadia news. The electricity Ministry announced Monday, increasing the productive capacity of the electrical system to 8,700 megawatts, adding that this will be reflected positively on the hours in Baghdad and the Iraqi provinces, which would be between 16 to 24 hours a day.

He said the Ministry's spokesman Musab Al-teacher in a statement received by Al-baghdadia/news/copy, the "rise of the productive capacity of the electric power system, which reached 8,700 megawatts, reflected positively on increasing operating hours in Baghdad and the Iraqi provinces between 16 to 24 hours a day," pointing out that "waste of electricity decreased to 500 megawatts, after the oil Ministry began supplying fuel to power plants, which have suffered from scarce earlier."

He also finished the rehabilitation units of Musayyib station 200 thermal megawatts, per unit, "he said, adding that" three units of goods station entered service card 100 megawatts each and a total capacity of 300 megawatts.

And the teacher that "Baghdad currently provide 16 hours and 19 hours of Basra, Ninawa b 18 hours, in Maysan and Kirkuk provided 24 hours a day," stressing that "hours of processing power will rise to more than that, after two units of Wasit thermal station 330 megawatts per unit, and total 660 megawatts, along with three other units of soft goods station in Karbala card 375 megawatts at the end of May.
