Erbil (NINA) – President of Kurdistan Region, Massoud Barazani, said that he will not ask to amend the Region's Presidency Law, or seek to extend his term, he demands putting the Region's draft Constitution for referendum.
In a message on Saturday, May 4, responding to publicity about whether he will run for another term, Barazani said, "I did not request amending the Region's Presidency Law, did not ask to extend my Presidency term or allow to amend the law to enable me run again for post of the Region's President."
Barazani affirmed that there will be no going back on the country's political process.
