Yawar requests UNAMI to participate in the talks between Baghdad, Erbil

Erbil (NINA) – Secretary General of Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Peshmerga, Jabar Yawar, discusses on Sunday, Nov. 25, with the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), the developments in the Disputed Areas.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Peshmerga said that Yawar requested that the UNAMI takes part in the talks due to be held between the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Peshmerga over recent tension resulted from the forming of Dijal Operations.
The UN Mission demanded concerned parties to abide by earlier agreements related to calming the situation and preserve security in the Disputed Areas; expressed readiness to exert its efforts toward solving outstanding problems.
