Baghdad (AIN) –The parliament voted on three law drafts then lifted its 21st session that was headed by the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and attended by 233 MPs on Thursday.

A statement by the Media Office in the parliament received by AIN cited "At the beginning of the session, the Endowments Committee denounced the movie that offend the Prophet Mohamed PBUH and the sacred principals of Islam," noting that "The Muslims neglect all types of violence and terrorism."

"The Committee urges the Muslims to adopt peaceful means to denounce this movie and calls the Iraqi Ambassador to the US and the Islamic Cooperation Committee to sue the sides behind this movie," the statement added.

"Then the parliament voted on canceling the amendment of the Independent High Electoral Commission Law NO. 11 in 2007," the statement mentioned.

"The parliament also endorsed the first amendment of the Ministry of Social Affairs Law No. 8 in 2006 in addition to voting on the Law of the Ministry of Sciences and Technologies," the statement concluded.

"The parliament Chairmanship postponed the vote on the Supreme Judicial Council law and the Supreme Federal law as requested by the leaders of the political blocs," the statement concluded. /End/
