Baghdad, July 17 (Rn) - An economic adviser in the Iraqi government, for the government to take a formal decision to appoint Hamdiya dry Director of Commercial Bank of Iraq.

The Commercial Bank has 14 branches in Iraq, and its assets reached $ 15 billion in 2010, up 16 percent from 2009. Bank figures show that profits rose to $ 361 million last year.

He continued that "the government is determined to make broad changes in the work of the Commercial Bank and the reduction of administrative and financial excesses that caused the problem of fiscal and monetary many."

The Azri had fled out of the country last month after it said an investigative committee formed by al-Maliki and made up of the Integrity Commission and the Financial Inspection Office and the Ministry of Finance and experts, that the Director committed the offenses charged Iraq a lot of money, and referred its report to the judicial authorities.

According to what has been disclosed, there are facilities to deal with Azri in the granting of bank guarantee and the loans without taking into account the provision of adequate safeguards.

And the fight against corruption was one of the most demands for it came out of the massive demonstrations in Baghdad and other Iraqi provinces since February last, and also demanded the provision of services and employment opportunities.

Corruption is a major problem has plagued Iraq after 2003, where he put the corruption index for 2010 published by Transparency International, Iraq among the most corrupt countries in the world.
