KIRKUK, Aug.9 (AKnews)- The first livestock population survey is running in Kirkuk so that the cattle-raisers benefit from a governmental fund, an official said.
Some committee authorized by Kirkuk Agricultural Directorate will visit the cattle-raisers and register the numbers, said Mahdi Mubarak, Kirkuk agriculture director.
The owners of the livestock will benefit from the 17 million IQDs the government has allocated for improving the farm animal's products.
The official warned that any farmer who does not reveal the true number of his livestock will not benefit from the governmental fund.
