BAGHDAD / JD / .. said Deputy Minister of Industry Dairi Makki said the delay in application of customs tariff law at the present stage detrimental to the interests of a particular class of traders who are pushing for postponement, noting that the industrial sector has the ability to bridge the shortfall in the event of imposed tariffs.

The assistant Minister of Industry Mackie Dairi's / JD / baptized that some traders to push some people to go out in demonstrations condemning the application of the law under the pretext of fear of rising prices. He continued that "the industrial sector of Iraq is able to bridge the potential shortfall in the goods in the event of the imposition of tariffs and provide a product sober subject to international standards in contrast to goods shoddy imported by the private sector, stressing the need to support the national product as the best solution to the problem of goods bad that fill the markets, as well as its ability to absorb unemployment and attract young people unemployed, and raise the ability pension of the Iraqi people and not to waste the hard currency out of the country.

The Council of Ministers approved a bill to postpone the application of the law of customs tariff upon the fulfillment of the conditions of its application a statement issued by the Council of Ministers. as it was due to law comes into effect early July this, but the Council of Ministers sent a request to the House of Representatives serving Btagelet for technical reasons. with Commission asked for the economy, parliamentary need to find alternatives for the protection of the domestic product and increase the suffering of the citizens. to that, the President of the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control Engineer Saad Abdul Wahab Abdul Qader said there are many reasons for postponing the implementation of the law of customs tariff. said Abdul-Qader's / JD / be many reasons behind the postponement of tariff law the most important that the law guarantees to impose the tax on some raw materials used in industry of Iraq which is a block to the wheel industrial development which is expected to provide more in the case of the imposition of tariffs.

He said the postponement was the result of fears of higher prices of imported goods with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan and its impact on the ability of citizen's purchasing power. He said Abdul Wahab, we are in the Central Organ of the elderly concerns of officials in the General of Customs and the Council of Ministers is the inadequacy of the moment to impose tariffs on imported goods because the details of the law is not flexible with respect to some goods that are charging them on a seasonal basis Kmahasil agricultural and vegetables that are grown seasonally in Iraq, these reasons and others prompted the Council of Ministers to request postponement of the project. / Finished
