Alsumaria News / Baghdad confirmed the British Embassy in Baghdad, said Friday that Iraq will remain an ally of the United Kingdom because it is a regional player in an important role in the region, as she seeks to encourage more companies to invest in the country. He said the British ambassador in Baghdad, Michael Aaron in an interview " Alsumaria News "," Iraq will remain a key ally of the United Kingdom because it is a regional player in an important region for having not only the vast oil wealth, but manpower is its people. " said Aaron that "Iraq is an opportunity to be a model in the region points to the success of democratic principles" . The Aaron that "some people overlook the fact that the British presence was influential and powerful in Iraq, especially in the field of oil," pointing out that "BP's British is the only one that agreed to the offer for investment during the first licensing round launched by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil." and signed the Ministry of oil on the third of November, a contract with a consortium of BP British and the Chinese National Development Rumaila oil in the west of the province of Basra. He said Aaron that "without this step of the BP British may have hampered the steps of development in the Iraqi oil sector," noting that "Britain is seeking to encourage more companies to come to Iraq." The Iraqi government announced, in the 22 of May, the withdrawal of the navy the British out of Iraqi water fully, stressing that Iraqi forces will be replaced. Most of the British forces, which deployed in Iraq in 2003 to overthrow the former regime, had withdrawn in July 2009 from the province of Basra, which was settled in, and continued the Royal Navy to train Iraqi naval forces to defend the waters of Iraq's territorial and infrastructure of the oil-coastal, a task done by the Naval Base main in Umm Qasr.
