Kurdistan Minister of Labor and Social Affairs said today that her ministry is planning to tackle the unemployment in Iraqi Kurdistan which stands at 15%.

In a one-day workshop in Erbil International Hotel, Asos Najib, announced the figures.
A draft employment policy has been prepared which aims to reduce the fogure, the minister said, the draft is a joint venture of the International Labor Organization and a number of related ministries, Kurdistan Workers Syndicate and Kurdistan University. It has been compiled over the past four months.
Najib added the draft will be discussed in the workshop today and the recommendations will be forwarded to Kurdistan Council of Ministers for approval.
