Informed sources revealed the existence of dialogues between the government and the American Embassy to find a specific mechanism to maintain the survival of a number of U.S. troops in Iraq after U.S. withdrawal, expected later this year. The sources told (range) that the dialogues taking place between the two sides

View to concluding a memorandum of understanding allowing the survival of a number of U.S. troops after 2011 and over five years.
The sources added that the government had resorted to such procedure is for the purpose of passing it without reference to the Council of Representatives.
The sources said that the U.S. administration is pressing the government for the purpose of resolving this file with the start of the countdown to end the security agreement.
Under the security agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington on the end of November of 2008 that it should withdraw all U.S. forces from all territories and waters and airspace of Iraq no later than December 31 of this year.
The U.S. combat forces pulled out under the Convention of the cities, villages and towns of Iraq on 30 June 2009.
Meanwhile, the National Alliance MP Haitham Jubouri that the U.S. government is pressing heavily on the Baghdad government for the purpose of maintaining the troops in Iraq for another term.
The Jubouri in a statement yesterday that U.S. Ambassador James Jeffrey, the U.S. Congress asked the amount of six billion dollars to its embassy in Baghdad for the purpose of supporting projects to modify the balance and a new security arrangement.
He pointed out that the U.S. commitment to the security agreement and respect Iraq's sovereignty and exit of troops from Iraq, as identified in the Convention.
The Jubouri that the National Alliance insists on the implementation of the security agreement with all its terms without any modification on it.
The U.S. ambassador in Baghdad said last Saturday, he had asked for the 2012 budget for the Embassy of $ 6.2 billion from Congress for the purpose of assisting the development of Iraq and close global needs in energy. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
