Basra (AIN) –Recently Basra province witnessed a wide Kuwaiti willing to invest in the province and big attention by the businessmen to get an investment opportunity after dozens of foreign companies had raced to enter the private sector for incentives and economic advantages.

The Basra Investment Commission reported in statement to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "Al-Dhabi Kuwaiti Company for trading opened new fields for investments in Basra and the possibility to get an investment opportunity to establish housing project."

The statement pointed that "The representative of Dhabi Company, Hussein Ali Nasser al-Katan visited Basra Investment Commission's headquarters and confirmed during the meeting with the director of Basra Investment Commission, Khalaf al-Badran that Basra province is characterized by remarkable stablity and safe situation."

The statement added "During the meeting, he discussed the possibility for opening new banks in cooperation with the Government and the banking sector."

Basra Investment Commission received a delegation headed by Kuwaiti businessman, Jassim al-Musawi, who showed his desire to invest in the commercial sector and building typical commercial centers after noting the investment areas in the province.

The statement pointed out that "The Basra Investment Commission discussed with a Kuwaiti Company, which is specialized in the environment field, an investment project at the cost of $ (100) million."

The statement explained "The Kuwaiti Group Bukhamseen Holding Company offered, the Basra Investment Commission, several projects to be studied and providing their necessary requirements in order to grant it's license to invest in industry and tourism fields."

The last year has witnessed holding the economic conference in the Industry and Commerce's Chamber of Kuwait for discussing the investment fields and how to activate commercial and economic relations between the two countries.

The Basra Investment Commission is seeking to activate the trading movement, between the two countries, specially that Kuwait has many strong companies and expertise and technologies that qualify it to compete to have the territories offered as investment opportunities in Basra province. \ End\
