KARBALA/ Aswat al-Iraq: Attempts are being exerted to convince Australian companies that Iraq is not a dangerous area, the Australian ambassador stated today.
Ambassador Lyndall Sachs added that she is trying to clarify the investment picture in Iraq to convince Australian companies to work here in the fields of agriculture, banking, and aviation.
"We have found good investment opportunities in this province," Ambassador Sachs said today in a press conference attended by Aswat al-Iraq.
She pointed out that attempts will be endeavored to open Australian banks in Iraq, as well as direct flights, after the feasibility of such a move as been studied.
