Some embassies finance terrorist groups in Iraq, Interior Undersecretary
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq : Iraqi Interior Undersecretary Adnan al-Asadi announced that "some Arab embassies are playing mediation role to finance the terrorist groups in Iraq, through cheaques sent from abroad".
He did not name the embassies involved in such actions.
Interior Ministry internet site quoted Asadi, in his interview with Iraqiya satellite, that "these embassies work as financial intermediatory , but their responsible officials deny such activities and their intelligence organs keep closed eyes on such movements".
The site added that the Iraqi security organs got "dangerous information on the volume of intervention through such embassies or representations, but the security considerations prevent us from exposing them".
These statements by Asadi constitute a warning to some countries of "Iraqi ability to observe such actions which are contrary to diplomatic procedures".
