Expect the deputy governor of Central Bank of Iraq Alctorahmd Bureihi decline in unemployment this year.

Rehn stressed, "It is not expected to exceed core inflation in Iraq, seven percent in 2011, with the economy remains relatively stable under a stable flow of goods and the absence of unexpected expenses of government."

Abreha said Sunday that the Central Bank does not intend to raise interest rates - which were reduced to six percent in April 2010 - to fight inflation.

He said in an interview with "Reuters", said he expected decline in unemployment this year, noting any that it "depends on the construction activities ..Saying, "As soon as we can activate and develop the activities of the building and construction, we can absorb the growing numbers of unemployed."

In a related development the Central Agency for Statistics, "The index of consumer prices amounted to (131.0%) in the month of April 2011, recording an increase of 0.8% for Alshahralsabak and by 5.8% compared with April 2010.

And reported, "Reuters," The rate of core inflation for Iraq - which does not include the cost of fuel - has accelerated to 6.3 percent in May from 6.1 percent in April, driven by the cost of imported goods and services, especially health care.

It is intended mainly to inflation Core Inflation: is the percentage change in the index of consumer prices calculated after excluding petroleum products (oil, gas) within the Department of Housing and the two sets of fruits and vegetables sub-section within the food and non-alcoholic beverages.
