Maliki during a meeting with the Iraqi community in Washington, underlines the willingness of government to provide an appropriate atmosphere for the return of competencies

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said the reconstruction process requires the return of Iraqi capabilities and competencies located abroad for the success of the process of construction, reconstruction, stressing the government's readiness to provide the appropriate atmosphere for their return
The statement quoted Maliki's office during a meeting with a group of Iraqi community located in the United States that "the Iraqi community to be represented by us in maintaining the relationship will be with the United States, considering that the next stage will be different from the former."
Maliki said that "the relationship in the past were mostly of a military character and security, and today, after the close of U.S. troops complete their withdrawal from Iraq, although some doubt, we find that the second phase of the strategic framework agreement will be implemented soon after the completion of the withdrawal end of the month," he "We look forward to strengthening bilateral relations with the United States through the strategic framework agreement."
The prime minister stressed that "the aim of the visit to Washington is to ensure that the relationship with the U.S. side will not expire at the end the withdrawal of troops, and that the second phase will be the relationship of a civil nature and include all areas of cultural, economic and commercial."
He said the "the second phase of the strategic framework agreement will support the Iraqi economy and open the door to activate the commercial, cultural and educational as well as benefit from U.S. expertise in various aspects."
The prime minister pointed out that "the government is seeking to benefit from the experiences of developed countries such as Japan, China, Korea and the United States in the fields of construction and service," adding that "one of the projects to be implemented through the federal budget are projects of the Ministry of Transport to being a draft strategy giant Among the most prominent of these projects Faw port and the network of railways, airports and others. "
And the port of Faw Maliki said, "it was the allocation of funds from the budget in 2012 to build a breakwater and the rest of the port will be built either at the expense of Iraq or by investing," noting that "the need now is not in the construction of the port, but also in establishing a network of railway giant because we want to Iraq is a trade route to communicate with the rest of the countries. "
He stressed that "the existence of large projects will be completed soon, especially in the oil sector, electricity, reconstruction and construction of airports, as well as infrastructure projects because the policies of the former regime Orttna Iraq devastating," explaining that "the plan developed by the Government concerning the reconstruction of all what has been destroyed in the past.
