The Chairman of the Investment Authority confirms the government’s keenness to strengthen the private sector environment

The head of the National Investment Authority, Haider Muhammad Makkiya, stressed the government’s keenness to strengthen the private sector environment in Iraq.
 
A statement from the National Investment Authority received by Al-Eqtisad News stated,
 
“The Chairman of the National Investment Authority, Haider Muhammad Makkiya, conducted an inspection tour of the Rixos Hotel and Investment Resort project in Baghdad, and directed the necessity of adhering to the work schedules and achieving the calculated completion rates.”
 
Makiya said, while inspecting the project’s work paths and being briefed on the implementation plans, that
 
“the Rixos project represents a cultural interface for the country, and is considered one of the most important modern tourist and investment resorts in Baghdad,” stressing that
 
“progress in the work within the project has become clear, especially after the appointment of a president.” Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani laid the foundation stone for the project last August, which proves the keenness to strengthen the indicators of the investment environment and ensure that it enjoys the elements of security and stability that stimulate vital projects in Baghdad and the provinces.”   He added,
 
during a meeting with the resident engineer and representatives of the company implementing the project, that “the National Investment Commission monitors its projects in Iraq, and develops solutions to address the challenges it faces in order to complete them within the time frames established by feasibility studies,” stressing that
 
“such projects will serve as an arm.” And a vital tributary to the national economy by maximizing the state’s resources and its general budget through the optimal method of investment.”  The statement continued,
 
"The inspection tour of the Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Haider Muhammad Makkiya, also included the Downtown Baghdad project and a review of the completion rates achieved in it, which represents the highest skyscraper in Iraq with (65) floors."
 
Makkiya stressed, during an expanded meeting with the implementing company and the engineering and technical work team at the project site, the necessity of maintaining the increasing pace of work in achieving completion rates, along with the accuracy of the technical specifications and engineering standards included in the designs for the project.
 
During his tour with the engineering and consulting team in the project’s buildings and towers, the head of the National Authority highlighted the importance of adhering to the prices established in the feasibility study, and providing the best services and benefits of a sustainable residential environment to citizens.
 
Makiya pointed out the Authority’s support for investment projects distinguished by their sustainable construction methods at the level of services, modern designs, and objective feasibility studies.
