The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed that the withdrawal ceilings for debit and credit bank cards are determined by the banks.
The Central Bank said in circulars addressed to banks, which Al-Iqtisad News reviewed, that the ceilings on operations related to debit cards and credit cards are subject to the bank’s internal policy.
The Central Bank of Iraq set the ceiling for withdrawals from prepaid cards at $300, with a balance of 10 million dinars, and $750 daily purchase volume from points of sale.
