For more than 5 million.. The Ministry of Commerce blocks the ration card for citizens abroad

The Ministry of Commerce announced, on Tuesday, the move to block the ration card for more than 5 million citizens outside the country, while noting that it dispenses a ration vocabulary for everyone despite the lack of a database.
The administrative undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Sattar al-Jabri, said in a press statement:
“the ministry does not have a sober and real database that can be adopted in state institutions,” indicating that
“there is a great intersection and overlap in powers, in addition to the absence of a database of citizens, which confused the work of institutions and ministries, including the Ministry of Commerce. He added that
“the ministry dispenses a ration and a food basket to 40 million Iraqi citizens,
but there are almost 5 million Iraqi citizens who are outside the country,
in addition to the deceased and those covered by the blocking decision, which number in the millions,
including the owners of companies and those with high incomes, and
therefore there is no database to access and block these names,” pointing out that
“the Ministry of Commerce is forced to disburse the ration for everyone, because there is no database”. He continued:
”the ministries of foreign affairs and immigration have been contacted to provide us with names outside Iraq, but we have not yet been provided with real lists that can be approved,“ explaining that
”the lists that we received contain only triple names, and in Iraq there is a similarity with Triple names that cannot be approved.
“There is a big imbalance in the names of the deceased between the ministries of Health and trade, as there is no network connection between state institutions,” Al-Jabri stressed, stressing
“the need for a digital e-government, in order to automate information, can be adopted after obtaining an integrated database, which will be a real start to building the state.
