The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq receives a delegation from the Central Bank of Egypt
The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghaleb Makhif, received a delegation from the Central Bank of Egypt, headed by the Governor’s Undersecretary, Dr. Sharif Ashour, in response to an official invitation.
During the meeting, the development of Iraqi -Egyptian relations at the level of the banking sector was discussed and strengthened to serve the interests of the two countries, and to enhance financial inclusion.
His Excellency the Governor said: The Central Bank of Iraq always seeks to develop its relations with the central banks in the countries of the world, in a way that contributes to the development of bilateral relations and increased cooperation, in a way that reflects positively on the Iraqi economy.
He added: The Iraqi banking sector is witnessing an evolution and openness to the outside.
It is clear that the mutual visits between the Central Bank of Iraq and the Egyptian are part of the cooperation efforts between the two parties that contribute to the development of human resources for workers in the banking sector.
It is noteworthy that the delegation of the Central Bank of Egypt, yesterday, Saturday, an inspection tour of the new building of the Central Bank of Iraq, and visited cultural and heritage landmarks in Baghdad.
The visiting delegation praised the great architectural edifice that decorated the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
