Al-Kazemi’s advisor: The 2022 budget is complete, and the surplus is 25 trillion

Technical Adviser to the Prime Minister, Haitham Al-Jubouri, announced the completion of the 2022 budget by the Ministry of Finance, and

while he revealed the size of the financial surplus achieved from the increase in oil prices, he indicated that opening the door for import reflected positively on the drop in prices.

Al-Jubouri said, "The government has taken several measures to control prices," noting that

"the customs exemption is temporary and includes foodstuffs, and the opening of the import door reflected positively on the drop in prices."

He added, "The Iraqis own 50 trillion dinars in homes," stressing that

"the presence of money in homes is caused by a lack of confidence in banks."

He pointed out that "Iraqi banks have become expelling the customer, and some private banks are without customers."

Regarding the local product, Al-Jubouri said, "Feed is available and it is covered by the protection of the local product," explaining that "

He pointed out that "Iraq is without food security, and does not have food stocks for two months or a month," stressing,

"We need to import 50 percent of the wheat."

He explained, "The surplus achieved from the increase in oil prices amounts to 25 trillion dinars," noting that "

the Food Security Law is not a substitute for the budget."

And he indicated that "the 2022 budget has been completed by the Ministry of Finance," noting that "the salary scale has been completed since 2017."

He stressed that "political pressures have hindered the approval of the salary scale," noting that "the salary scale has reached the voting stage, but it has not been approved."

He stressed the employees to pressure Parliament to pass the Civil Service Law.
