Minister of Communications: Iraq Has Achieved A Great Leap In Internet Service

Baghdad / NINA / - Minister of Communications, Arkan Al-Shaibani confirmed that Iraq has achieved a great leap in internet service.
In a speech during the Iraq Conference and Exhibition Towards Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, he said that the ministry worked to develop the telecommunications sector, as Iraq's ranking on internet service was 138 globally and now it has become 47 globally, and this is great leap in this sector.
Al-Shaibani added: The smuggling of Internet capacities was eliminated within one year, and the international capacities were doubled, in addition to the establishment of large projects.
He praised the role of the Media and Communications Commission, saying that they are partners in all the successes.
Al-Shaibani explained that the issue of the transit internet through Iraq will put the country on the right map. /End
