The Ministry of Planning, on Sunday, is represented by the Central Statistical Organization, and in partnership with UNDP and funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the results of a study on small, small and medium enterprises in the regulatory and unregulated sectors in Iraq.

The study sought to provide a documented information base on policies and strategies aimed at creating sustainable livelihoods, including the construction of small, small and medium enterprises.

The study included the governorates of Baghdad, Basra and Nineveh, designed to build a comprehensive analysis of structures, trends, dynamics and opportunities through recent and reliable information and analyzes. The increased challenges faced by these facilities are due to the Corona pandemic, and the weakness of the structures and entrepreneurs of these projects.

The resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Iraq, Zeina Ali Ahmed said: "Micro, small and medium enterprises in Iraq are facing major challenges, and we continue to address the social and economic impacts of Kovid 19,

this study is highlighted once again on the importance of the private sector in Iraq to create Sustainable job opportunities, particularly for vulnerable groups, and

this is not possible to achieve this important achievement without our strong partnership with the Ministry of Planning, and generous support from our US Agency for International Agency."

"This survey is part of the economic reform project designed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Iraq, to promote sustainable economic reform, focusing on poverty in the country, and with a generous support from the American people through the US Agency for International Development."
