Baghdad (NINA) - MP from the State of Law Coalition, Abdul Salam Al Maliki, held the Iraqiya Slate "responsible for the delay in solving the security ministries issue for its insisting on the nomination of non-professional candidate or those with security queries about them, and its attempts to block any end to this file."
He said, in a statement to NINA "the IS submitted, during its recent meeting with President Jalal Talabani, names of its candidates, which is not acceptable because it is supposed to submit these names to the Prime Minister, being in charge of this matter, not the president."
He unveiled "the PM’s and the SLC desire to keep Culture Minister, Saadoun Al Dulaimi, as the MOD as he proved professionalism in his work, especially as we enter the full US withdrawal from Iraq stage. Dulaimi proved efficiency and ability to run this file."
He called on the IS "to bear its political responsibility and choose the most suitable candidate away from desires and partisan loyalties and to select an acceptable figure professionally and militarily.” /End/
