On Wednesday, Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar affirmed his ministry’s keenness to develop the oil and gas industry and invest it in building the national economy.

The ministry said in a statement, Alsumaria News received a copy of it, that "Oil Minister Ihsan Abdel-Jabbar received the Chairman of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, MP Haibet Al-Halbousi, members of the committee and a number of deputies."

Abdul-Jabbar stressed, according to the statement, "The Ministry's keenness to develop the oil and gas industry and invest in building the national economy despite the challenges and difficult circumstances through plans and programs that contribute to the advancement of the oil industry," noting that

"the ministry has achieved many important achievements during the past period as well as Dealing with it transparently and objectively with all files related to the development of the production and export sector, etc., and Iraq is a member of Transparency International.

He pointed out that "the ministry is looking forward to an ideal cooperation with members of the House of Representatives through the exchange of information as well as providing them regularly with files and reports on oil activity, especially related to production and export operations and crude oil pricing mechanisms," stressing

"the ministry's keenness to achieve more cooperation and communication with the Oil Committee Parliamentary energy and other committees are in the public interest, as well as inviting members to attend meetings and activities related to oil affairs.
