As announced Baghdad for an expected visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to Kuwait in December next, to discuss outstanding issues between the two countries, stressed the mission of the United Nations to help Iraq (UNAMI) to its new president, Martin Kobler touching the good intentions to ensure good-neighborly relations between the two countries.

But the expectations of politicians and observers differed on the possibility that this visit will contribute to close the outstanding issues, to open a new page of bilateral relations. and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari announced last Saturday that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki will visit Kuwait in the coming days in response to an invitation from his Kuwaiti counterpart to discuss all issues the relationship between the two countries. politicians and deputies confirmed that al-Maliki will discuss the outstanding issues between the two countries and find ways to solve them, in the forefront the issue of port Mubarak of Kuwait, which caused a sensation in political circles and popular in Iraq, and the boot to exit Iraq from Chapter VII Security Council embargo on Iraq in 1990.

Spokesman for the State of Law Coalition MP Ali Falh said that Maliki's visit comes in the light of Iraq's desire to address all problems through dialogue, and expected to address the outstanding issues between the two countries and specifically the problem of the port of Mubarak. But the leader of the Kurdistan Alliance MP Mahmoud Othman seems optimistic the success of Maliki's visit to Kuwait, because he sees that this visit has not been a good preparation and will be useless, like its predecessors visits Iraqi officials repeated.

MP Ali Falh to remove Iraq from under Chapter VII, is the real problem between Iraq and Kuwait, calling on Kuwaiti officials to help and support for Iraq out of the jurisdiction of this item, especially with the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country, stressing that Iraq's stability means the stability of Kuwait.

MP Mahmoud Othman, leader of the Kurdistan Alliance that Iraq has failed politically and diplomatically in dealing with the issue of pulling the country from Chapter VII, and a number of reasons, including regarding the absence of the position of an Iraqi uniform of a lot of issues with neighboring countries, and siding America, Britain and the UN Security Council of Kuwait.

MP for the mass of the Iraqi Hamid al-Mutlaq finds that the visit is important and is required to resolve disputes and problems through dialogue and understanding, stressing the need to have good intentions, and expressed in the same time hoped the success of this visit in the interest of the two neighboring countries.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Martin Kobler, said after the official visit to Kuwait recently, said that he found good intentions on both sides of Iraq and Kuwait to move forward and to ensure good-neighborly relations between the two countries, According to a statement to the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI).

But political analyst Khaled Serail is unlikely to succeed Prime Minister of Iraq to resolve differences between the two countries, because it believes that there is a tendency Gulf to block efforts to resolve the differences that are expected to increase in intensity after the American withdrawal from Iraq .

Kuwaiti political analyst Ayed al-Manna does not agree with the palace and sees that the differences between the two countries can be resolved provided that Iraq fulfill its obligations to emerge from Chapter VII because it is international resolutions, not Kuwait.

Manna, who believes that Maliki's visit comes at an inopportune time because of the confusion of the political scene Kuwait confirms that bilateral relations between Iraq and Kuwait are of interest to all Kuwaitis who want a stable, economically open between the two neighbors. more details in the audio file, who helped set up Radio Free Iraq correspondent in Baghdad, Ghassan Ali ..
