The parliamentary economy demands to stop the import of goods from neighboring countries

The parliamentary economics committee on Sunday called for stopping imports of goods from neighboring countries, stressing the necessity of obligating all ministries to contract with the Ministry of Industry exclusively without an intermediary to encourage the national product.

"The meeting of the committee with the minister to elevate the Iraqi industry to the public and private sector, which has the effect of contributing to the provision of employment opportunities for the people," the head of the age of the Committee on Economy and Investment Representative Hassan Jalal Kanani said during a press conference held in the House of Representatives with the participation of the Minister of Industry and members of the committee.

He added that "the Committee stressed the Minister of the need to restore and rehabilitation of all industry institutions in all provinces, and the abolition of the integration of all companies,"

stressing the need to "protect the national product and the public to improve the productive reality and eliminate unemployment."

Al-Kanani called for "the formation of a high-level committee of industrial and economic realities in Iraq, especially the companies of the Ministry of Industry and the former Military Industrialization Organization."

He called for "the suspension of the importation of all goods from neighboring countries and abroad.

He stressed the need to "oblige all ministries to contract with the Ministry of Industry exclusively without an intermediary to promote the national product,"

stressing the need to "activate the government sector to support the productive projects to promote the industrial reality in Iraq and the imposition of high taxes on imports to encourage the national product speed up the law of industrial cities in all provinces".
