Parliamentary Finance: Money Laundering Act legislation will prevent the smuggling of currency abroad

The parliamentary finance committee confirmed that the legislation money laundering law and the fight against terrorism will prevent the smuggling of Iraqi capital operations abroad.

The MP said Jabbar al-Abadi told the "News Agency our economy" that "legislation of money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism law was consistent with international law applies with the standards set forth."

He noted that "the law will establish a new office to determine money laundering and watching the money in and out of Iraq movement."

"The World Bank and international financial institutions demanded that the Iraqi government legislation Money Laundering Act before solutions October next month and threatened to put Iraq on the blacklist."

"The situation in Iraq on the blacklist would deprive the government of dealing with global and international banks in the financial Thoilath".

The House of Representatives voted last week to combat money laundering and terrorism financing law.
