Former US Head of State to Iraq Paul Bremer said his state planes to send heavy weapons to the Kurdish forces of Peshmerga that are at war with the militants of the Islamic State (IS).
Speaking with the BBC yesterday Bremer stressed his country should aide the Kurdish forces with heavy weapons and reiterated the US bombardment on the terrorist bases in northern Iraqi city of Mosul will continue.
He went on to say that some heavy weapons have been sent to the region and will be sent to the right place in the coming days, adding that US allies are following the policy of sending arms to the Kurdish region in the north of Iraq that is fighting the radical jihadists.
Bremer further asked all Iraqi political parties and lines to cooperate with Haidar al-Ebadi, appointed by Iraqi president as next Iraqi PM. The US official also asked Kurds and Sunnis to attend in new government.
