Twilight News / revealed the General Company for Ports of Iraq, Sunday, guarantee plan for port development projects in the province of Basra in southern Iraq, including the construction of a security fence of cement "concrete" four kilometers in length.

The director of media relations and in the company Anmar net for "Twilight News" that "the company made a number of projects and service equipment to the ports of Khor Al-Zubair, Umm Qasr and other ports."

He added that "those projects aimed at the development of ports and border crossings, as well as the construction of a security fence along the four kilometers."

In Iraq, there are five commercial ports in Basra on the Persian Gulf, as well as two ports oilfields as well as last year was the opening of two floating ports for oil export.

There is a growing need for the development of ports with the continuous rise in the size of Iraq's oil exports and growing trade movement since the lifting of the blockade on the country in 2003.
