Iraq renews warnings and threats for companies to buy oil from Kurdistan

Iraq vowed on Friday to take legal action against companies in an effort to halt sales of crude oil from Kurdistan to Turkey.

He said Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Hussain al-Shahristani "any oil taken out of the country and do not go payments to the Iraqi people through the central government is considered seize Iraq's national wealth."

Shahristani said, speaking in Sydney, Australia, where he will attend the conference which is also adviser to Iraqi Prime Minister for Energy, "There are a number of ways the Iraqi government in the process of study and any responsible government would give the same priority to the protection of people's wealth." And began oil exports from the Taq Taq field in Kurdistan province to the Turkish port of Mersin in small quantities early January and rose to a little over 40 thousand barrels per day.
