Jubouri, EU representative discuss HR situation in Iraq

Baghdad (AIN) -The head of the parliament Human Rights Committee, MP Saleem al-Jubouri discussed with the European Union representative in Iraq, Carlo Okaimi, the EU's support for the human rights file.
A statement by the committee, reported on Wednesday "Jubouri discussed during his meeting with the EU representative, the importance of supporting human rights files by the EU and the international organizations."
"He stressed the active role of the international community in overseeing and supporting the human rights situation in Iraq and upgrading the level of the human rights to simulate the findings of the advanced countries which preceded us in the democracy," the statement concluded.
