Ankara willing to settle pending issues with Iraq
Wednesday, 27 March 2013 15:54 | | |

(AIN) -Turkey expressed willingness to settle the pending issues with Iraq.
The Turkish Foreign Minister, Davutoglu, met on last Tuesday the Iraqi delegation headed by the Iraqi President, Khudhayir al-Khuzai, participating in the Arab League Summit held on last Tuesday in Qatari capital, Doha.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan reported "Davutoglu expressed his country's wish to settle the pending issues with Iraq and bring the relations back to normal."

The Iraqi-Turkish bilateral relations witnessed clear tension since several months following the issue of the fugitive Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi when he escaped the justice and sought refuge in Turkey.
