Member of the Parliamentary Commission on the economy and investment Ibrahim Al-Rikabi, the Customs Tariff Act is expected to enter electronic technology as a system to prevent corruption at border crossings.

Rikabi said in a statement faxed to all Iraq [where] on customs tariff, "very important, because they contribute to the diversity of the Iraqi economy.

The Government had agreed on 26 June last year on a Bill to postpone the application of the law on customs tariff.

And the Iraqi Finance Ministry announced in August 2011, the postponement of the tariff act until 2012 because of the absence of mechanisms of action and high prices in the market.
