The private sector and the business environment

The Iraqi private sector has made good strides in its impact on the business environment, thus overcoming the obstacle of dependence on foreign labor. How?
Data on the ground indicate a major change in the qualitative development of the work culture among Iraqi workers,
who were accused of
not adapting to any work entrusted to them, and that
they were negligent, not all, but rather the largest section, and were
killing time without providing work that was commensurate with the volume required of them.
This culture prevailed among workers under the totalitarian regime, where there was no control over the employee’s or worker’s time in general.
The new acquired culture of accepting most work is the result of the influence of some of those working with private companies on foreign workers, whose view of work differs in the area of respect for time.
In addition to the incentives provided by the private sector to the productive and time-bound worker and his respect, this is based on his keenness, and here
I mean the private sector, to complete the work to the fullest extent and on the scheduled dates.
This method adopted by the private sector involves a basic goal of achieving profit as the basis for its sustainability, encouraging it to continue its success and encouraging it to achieve the best for companies that are trying hard to maintain the reputation of the business.
There are success stories achieved by the private sector in this field, and I mean encouraging workers to commit to time.
Here, it must be noted that such companies that achieve such success in implementing important projects must be monitored by the government and given priority in contracts for project implementation. However,
this healthy phenomenon does not mean that the country dispenses with foreign investment, especially in projects of strategic importance and value, as
there are multiple goals resulting from this choice, the
most prominent of which is attracting and importing the advanced technology that the country needs, as well as benefiting from global expertise and its impact on changing the business environment, and I mean (work culture).
By requiring companies to allocate a reasonable percentage of Iraqi workers in their projects to develop their expertise, thus accumulating expertise in Iraq. However, the
experience of building bridges, roads, and currently accelerating infrastructure work in Iraq has made the urgent need for Iraqi civil engineers and skilled technicians a great need,
which has created a high demand for these professions, which have become truly rare.
It is true that the Iraqi mentality is capable of absorbing all developments,
but it lacks the motivation, support, and desired and expected result of reaching the stage of self-sufficiency with national labor in the future whenever it is affected by the correct business environment.
This remarkable development in expanding the phenomenon of (work culture) has somewhat reduced the principle of reliance on government jobs, which requires supporting this trend with the required guarantees, most notably expanding the applications of the Social Security Fund Law for Workers and Businesses, which was recently enacted to include all professions and trades.
