The Iraqi government agreed on Tuesday to continue postponing repayment of loans to borrowers with interest from government banks.
The Council of Ministers said in a statement received by the Ministry of Information, a copy of it, that "the Council of Ministers held, today, its regular session, chaired by Prime Minister Haider Abadi, and decided during the meeting to expedite the payment of dues farmers who planted the crop for the agricultural season 2017-2018 decision of the Council Ministers No. 370 of 2017 on the payment of their dues ".
He added that "the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 365 of 2016 on the postponement of repayment of borrowers' loans with interest from government banks that have debts to state institutions for contracting or equipment has been approved and paid in light of their debts to state institutions and in coordination with civil authorities.
