Jordan approves the appointment of Safiya al-Suhail, an ambassador to Iraq
BAGHDAD INA / Jordan formally agreed on the nomination of the Government of Iraq to appoint former deputy in the Iraqi parliament Safia Taleb al-Suhail, an ambassador for her country in the UK to replace the current ambassador Jawad Hadi Abbas.
According to the Jordanian Al-Ghad newspaper, quoting an informed source, that al-Suhail, will take over her new duties after the submission of the Ministry of Foreign adoption papers.
This is the first time in the history of the two countries on which the appointment of an Iraqi ambassador in Saudi woman.
And Suhail is the fourth ambassador for her country in the Kingdom since the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime in 2003, and is married to the Iraqi Human Rights Minister Bakhtiar Amin former.
The al-Suhail hold the position of director of Europe department at the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, the daughter of the former Iraqi opposition to Saddam Hussein's regime, Sheikh Talib al-Suhail, who fled to Jordan and the late King Hussein appointed his adviser Iraqi affairs.
