BAGHDAD / Obelisk: finance ministry announced on Friday for delivery of the Kurdistan Regional Government, $ 455 million from the federal government.
According to media sources, seen by the "Obelisk", on Friday, Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari said that "Iraq's Kurdistan region received from the central government in Baghdad, $ 455 million receivables to the budget for the month of March."
Zebari said that "it proves the central government's commitment to respect the agreement of the Kurdish oil policies."
Severed Baghdad budget payments in June 2014, because of the semi-autonomous region plans to export oil through Turkey, but resumed again in December after the Kurds had agreed to export 550 thousand barrels per day on average from the port of Ceyhan via the Iraqi State Oil Marketing Company "Sumo" in 2015.
The agreement aims to help Iraq to increase its exports of oil, at a time when revenues have been adversely affected by the decline in world oil prices and the costs of the current mark to fight terrorist elements Daash.
