Kurdistan: Washington considered the initiative to export 100,000 barrels of oil a day is a positive step

The Kurdistan Regional Government, said Wednesday that the United States reaffirmed its support for talks between Baghdad and Erbil on file, indicating that they considered the initiative of the President of the regional government nechirvan Barzani to export 100,000 barrels a day to reach a "positive step."

The Kurdistan Regional Government said in a statement received "alsumaria news", "Prime Minister nechirvan Barzani, Kurdistan, received today, Stephen bikroft, the US Ambassador to Iraq and his entourage, which included a number of officials at the u.s. Embassy in Baghdad and a Consulate in Erbil.

The territorial Government to "ensure the current situation and the issue of elections scheduled for the end of the month in Iraq and Kurdistan, as well as evaluation of campaigning and the election results forecast", stating that "the two sides stressed the importance of the safe and without problems."

The u.s. Ambassador expressed his country's support for talks between Arbil and Baghdad to reach a solution to the problems that are in the interest of all Iraq, "that he" expressed his thanks to the position of the Kurdistan Regional Government's proposal to solve the problems through understanding and treatment.

The territorial Government said in its statement that "the American Ambassador, described the initiative of the Prime Minister of Kurdistan regarding the export of 100,000 barrels of oil a day to reach a solution to the oil as a positive step and happiness."

He was President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, nechirvan Barzani, (21 March 2014), the province will export 100,000 barrels of oil a day as of April, grant negotiations between Baghdad and Erbil on oil export and file the budget another chance.

The KRG announced, (1 April 2014), to stop the initiative to export 100,000 barrels to repair the main export pipeline between Kirkuk and the Turkish port of Ceyhan.

The Kurdistan region of Iraq disagreed with the Central Government in Baghdad, many of the issues concerning the budget of the Kurdistan share benefits oil companies operating there, and the peshmerga and other things that have not been resolved over the past years.
