Baghdad 15/8/2011 At its twenty-second session of the Economic Commission decided to support and develop the banking sector




The
Economic Commission at its twenty-second session under the chairmanship
of Deputy Prime Minister Rosh Nouri Shaways and the membership of the
Minister of Finance Dr. Rafie al-Issawi to the ministers of planning,
trade, agriculture and the President of the Financial Inspection Office
and the Governor of the Central Bank and chairman of the investment and
legal advisor to the prime minister and the advisers Prime Minister's
Office.




The
Committee decided during its meeting to support and develop the banking
sector through the formation of a technical committee chaired by the
Ministry of Finance and the membership of the Central Bank and the Trade
Bank of Iraq and the Association of Iraqi banks and the Iraqi private
sector and work of this Committee to develop a mechanism to open letters
of credit less than the amounts for four million dinars from the
private banks, and that to support the private banking sector to take
