Baghdad Awan:
An official source at the Ministry of Oil, Saturday, that his ministry has signed contracts worth $ 1.6 billion, for the development of infrastructure and rehabilitation of oil facilities for the work of the second half of the year 2013, as well as its efforts to step up the export potential of the country.
The source, who preferred not to be named, in an exclusive interview with "Awan", "of these contracts is a special project to develop oil export facilities, the ministry signed with major international companies specialized in the field of oil industry."
The source, that "the most important of these contracts is the contract for the establishment of a platform for export of crude oil (the ship) with a capacity of 900 thousand barrels per day," stressing that "the construction contract platform export unilateral fourth card 900 thousand barrels per day signed a $ 80 million" .
He pointed out that "the first phase of the project escalation of energy export to Iraq of Basra, including the establishment of two tubes offshore and tube Barre diameter of 48 knots, and the creation of three platforms unilateral total capacity of 2.7 million barrels per day, to load oil tankers, at a total cost of approximately $ 1.3 billion.

"
The source added, "is expected to be completed Singaporean company of engineering, construction and supply within 16 months and will the Japanese Fund for International Development (JICA) funded the project."
The Oil Ministry said the "Awan", earlier, said that "Iraq is heading to the rehabilitation and development of infrastructure, and then oil exports to reach the roof export up to about 4 million barrels per day, a benefit befitting second producer in OPEC after Saudi Arabia, which exports about 9 million barrels a day. "
