Abdul Mahdi Office reveals the details of the 13 agreements signed in Riyadh

The Office of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi revealed on Wednesday the details of the 13 agreements signed in Riyadh, pointing out that the agreements included encouraging investment, oil and gas, agriculture and electric power.

"The signing of 13 agreements and memorandums of understanding between Iraq and Saudi Arabia was signed in Riyadh in the presence of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and the ministers from the Iraqi and Saudi sides," the office said in a statement.

"The agreements and memorandums of understanding included the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the field of political consultations, an agreement on the mutual recognition of product conformity certificate, the agreement on the promotion and protection of investment, a memorandum of understanding in the field of agricultural cooperation and a memorandum of understanding in the field of industry and mineral wealth."

The agreement also included a memorandum of understanding in the field of oil and gas, a memorandum of understanding in the field of electrical energy and a memorandum of understanding in the field of scientific and educational cooperation between the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq and a memorandum of understanding on a program of cultural cooperation, Education Iraqi",

Pointing out that the agreements also included a memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation program and memorandum of understanding to study the feasibility of electric linkage and memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the maritime field and the organization of passenger and road transport operations on land roads.

Earlier on Wednesday, Abdul Mahdi arrived in Saudi Arabia at the head of a large delegation.
